Kewei Celebrates Qixi Festival

On the seventh day of the seventh lunar month, we usher in the traditional Chinese festival of Qixi. This symbolic festival has beautiful legends, rich in celebrations, and heartwarming in meaning. On this festive occasion, Kewei would like to wish everyone a happy Qixi Festival.

Qixi Festival is also known as Qiqiao Festival or Daughters’ Festival. According to legend, on this day each year, the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl meet on the magpie bridge in the sky. Over time, the story evolved in Chinese folklore, giving birth to the beautiful love tale of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl.

The festival features a variety of traditional celebrations. In ancient times, young women practiced “needlework for skill” (Zhiding Qiqiao), offered tribute to spiders for dexterity, and enjoyed Qiao fruits. With the passage of time, many regions now hold large lantern fairs during Qixi Festival, attracting crowds to admire the displays.

To celebrate this festival, Kewei will host a warm dinner tonight, and all of us are looking forward to the event with excitement and joy. Kewei believes that through today’s dinner, the Kewei family will have deeper exchanges and closer connections, and everyone’s friendship will become deeper and deeper, which will play an important and positive role in the development and growth of Kewei.
